"I was recently involved in a car rollover on route 209. These wonderful, volunteer firefighters responded to the call. They had to cut the car open to get my mother and aunt out the car. My aunt was discharged yesterday after two weeks in the hospital. My mom will hopefully be discharged soon. Thank you, thank you, thank you and once again thank you."

Fire Suppression / Rescue
We attempt to prevent the spread of and extinguish significant unwanted fires in buildings, vehicles, woodland, etc. Our job is to suppress and extinguish fires to protect lives and to prevent the destruction of property and of the
environment.
Fire Prevention
A function of many fire departments is fire prevention awareness. The goal of fire prevention is to educate the public to take precautions to prevent potentially harmful fires, and be educated about surviving them. It is a proactive method of reducing emergencies and the damage caused by them.
